Morning all 🙂
@lloyd you want glass beads for your paint mixing, not ball bearings. They’re not as heavy but they cannot rust.
Christmas 2!?! Ain’t nobody can afford that. The price is too damn high!!!
Yes, we’re on the downslope to Giftmas. Thankfully this ride is more of a rollercoaster and starts off with a big ass hill that carries through to the big day. We’re somewhere in the corners of some turns at the moment but it’s manageable.
I can explain the lack of project for painting the miniatures. They were painted about a month before I started making the base, which was coincidentally the exact same amount of time before I thought about turning this into a project. However, just from my own perspective, there wasn’t anything particularly exciting or interesting about painting the miniatures. In fact Aragorn was a right pain in the arse because he’s a fine cast model, Arwen is a much more premium metal model.
As for the project title, it’s a quote from the film. It’s what Arwen tells Aragorn when she tells him she is in love with him.

I’ve always thought those tokens would be good bases
Given how many western films were filmed in Italy, Rome for cowboys makes perfect sense. Dead Man’s Hand is about depicting movie scenes after all. @lloyd has zero excuse for not building Rome.
The Italo Western is a whole genre!1!1!
you do know they were filmed in Spain though?
you think Americans knew the difference between Italy and Spain ? 😉
I think they were still Italian crews and actors though.
Spaghetti Westerns are a genre of their own, that’s for sure.
not sure about guillotine, but I’m positive Punny isn’t a yank
They were crewed by Italians and the genre also follows the style of an Italian director, Sergio Leone, who is generally credited with the invention of the genre.
Sunday. First of three of my time off work!
00:00 Sync! So important!

57:00 Hero 10
58:45 That’s the editor calling to say you’re all out of synch
1:05:00 Crazy Elf Cougar!
Nice show, back to sleep now!
Happy Sunday.
Tea crime detected! Using a teabag twice for two cups of tea, horrible!
I’ve had good results with Krautcover for basing materials.
Also Mel, The Terrain Tutor, has been doing some videos recently on colouring silver birch seeds to use as leaves.
That new AI Lloyd seems quite hobby productive. Tom just needs to iron out the glitches about building Rome and inferior 15s.
I’ve got jars of tea lying around as well for basing. Rooibos, although technically not tea, has a nice forest floor look. I’m trying to grow some Seafoam, so hopefully that’ll be useful too.
Happy Sunday…a what about back-stagers……lol
13.5mm oh so petite 15s?
I’m a big believer in the importance of considered hobbying which for me includes a mid-year review. Like a few others here I do mine on the Hobby Pledges thread. I find it motivating to see how much I’ve been able to achieve and to consider all of the wonderful hobby that has taken place in that time.
Good afternoon CoGs, hows it going.
What 3 starplayers are you missing paulgbarnes, i can’t promise, but i’ll have a look through my BB for you.
Thanks for the button chaps and @avernos and @lloyd I can confirm that there is no edge highlighting. Waaay to lazy for that! Just speed paint, drybrush, wash and gloss varnish. Just picked up another box which will get done after the Basileans. I may have a problem!
