Vampire Judgement & Heaven Sent Angels For Carnevale
July 14, 2025 by brennon
TTCombat recently released a bunch of new sets for those wanting to expand their collection for 32mm Pulp Fantasy skirmish game, Carnevale. You can get some new options for the Strigoi as well as the Patricians. The Vatican also has a surprise to unleash on worshippers and heretics alike.
Wallachian Judgement // Carnevale
The aristocracy of the night has its very own way of handing out justice and you get that here with the Strigoi Judge. He watches over those who are turned and makes sure that they are worthy to be part of Vlad's bloodline. He is watched over by two of the Giurgiu Guard, a shield wall, keeping the Judge from harm.

Capping off the set, you have the Poenari Scout who can leap across rooftops and take down your foes from afar. She also keeps an eye out for new "recruits". If you want to make sure those prospects don't escape, you can also get the Strigoi Slugger, who adds a bit of muscle to the box. A brilliant and bloody boxed set that gives you some fun new miniatures for the Strigoi.
Unleash The Hunt!
The Patricians are also getting a fancy new boxed set with the Great Game Hunt.
Great Game Hunt // Carnevale
Hedonism, thy name is the Patricians and you can see that here in these lavishly adorned hunters who are going to be chasing down the greatest game. Yep, these Patricians strip their targets naked and paint them yellow before chasing them around the streets of Venice and the surrounding countryside.
Great Game Hunt - Miniatures // Carnevale
The set is led by the Host, who watches over the hunt from horseback, sipping wine and delivering the killer blow once the prey has been cornered. A couple of Venetian Spies are going to be your key hunters, one armed with a melee weapon and the other sporting a hunting rifle, so the prey can be downed from range. The Heavy Venetian Guard caps things off. If anyone interrupts the hunt, then he deals with them.
A pair of "good" doggos then gives you some extra support and a few more options when it comes to cornering your prey. With so many bodies in this set, you can really flood the streets of Venice and make it hard for your enemy to get around.
An Angelic Surprise
I thought I would finish this with a look ahead to what's coming in July. The Vatican will be playing host to Heaven's Grace and some twisted true believers.
Heaven's Grace // Carnevale
The twisted Cherubim are the pair of unfortunates in this set, partway between their old human lives and their new lives as icons of the Vatican's holy power. A new state of being filled with promise! The next stage is that of the Divine Seraphim. Who knew an Altar Boy could be turned into something so powerfully...weird?
The most impressive part of this set is the Biblically accurate Vatican's Throne, which introduces a twisted and terrifying creation that is as awe-inspiring as it is terrifying. I can see this being a very popular boxed set and not just with Carnevale fans. These are also crying out to be converted into Trench Crusade miniatures.
Do you like these new previews and releases for the world of Carnevale?

Damn! Carnevale do some amazing miniatures.
They really do. Some gorgeous sculpts of late with the new packs.
I had to buy Sanguine Sin. I wanted them for Discworld RPG later this year.
Might have to buy Great Game Hunt for the rider.
I agree with you two, great models overall. My only complaint is that some of the models are quite confusing when compared to their rules.
Take the Great Game Hunt box as an example:
You wrote “A couple of Venetian Spies are going to be your key hunters”
But the box actually only contains one Venetian Spy. The second model, despite wearing nearly identical clothing, is a Venetian Guard. That’s not a complaint about you making a mistake, it’s a complaint about how easy that mistake is to make.
Other examples from the same box:
The lady lounging on her horse, sipping wine and holding a pistol? She’s actually a melee blender in the rules, especially on the charge deadly with her sabre.
The bare-chested guy? Rules-wise, he’s wearing one of the faction’s heaviest armors and acts as a tank.
I actually like the game, too. But for me, it’s more of a side game.
That’s why it’s a bit annoying when models don’t clearly represent what they do on the table. It either leads to gotcha moments or requires lengthy pre-game discussions and constant reminders during play.
That’s exactly the kind of thing I’d prefer to avoid in a laid-back, beer-and-pretzels style game.
Lordy. Christianity is not doing half measures!
Everyone else in Venice: oohoo I’m a sneaky assassin, I’ve got a dagger!
The Vatican: we have W E A P O N I S E D G O D!!!
Love it.
