Peek At The Plastics For Wargames Atlantic’s 10mm Dwarven Host
July 15, 2025 by brennon
Wargames Atlantic are closing in on the release of their next 10mm Fantasy plastic set for Wargames Atlantic. The Dwarven Host is coming very soon and will give you a good grounding for your large force of bearded warriors, ready to kick ass and beat up some Orcs.

Much like with the Orc Horde, this box contains frames allowing you to build six types of units alongside your command elements and casualties. This also means that the core of the new Classic Fantasy Battles Starter Set is near completion, as both the Dwarves and Orcs will be the battling armies contained within.
The set will allow you to build seventy-two Spear Dwarves, thirty-six Sword Dwarves, thirty-six Axe Dwarves, thirty-six Battle Axe Dwarves, thirty-six Crossbow Dwarves, twelve Ram Riders, fifteen Command stands and three sets of Casualties.

As you can see, it's already another chonky plastic sprue for the Dwarven Host that should be really fun to build your armies for Classic Fantasy Battles and beyond. I like that you've still got the same breakdown as the Orc Horde, with strips as well as individual miniatures that can be used to craft dynamic-looking regiments.

I sense that I might be picking up a new set of 10mm miniatures soon. A bit of tinkering behind the scenes is currently going on, but it won't be long until these are out in the world. Wargames Atlantic also introduced some information about what's coming up next.
Future releases will be smaller frames focused on unit types. The Boneblades will get Sword/Shield Skeletons, the Horselords will have their standard Cavalry, Elven Queensguard will be Halberdiers. This means you'll have ways to slowly bulk out your Fantasy armies during Classic Fantasy Battles' lifetime.
Could you be tempted by the Dwarven Host?

Do they have knees?
Really looking forward to getting my hands on these. I love my metal “10mm” dwarfs but having an actual 10mm army in plastic will be great.
These look great!
Man, these are awesome. I’ll be snagging the dwarves and the skeletons for sure. Might have to grab the orcs, too.
