July 22, 2025 by brennon
Teburu are now on Gamefound with their brand new campaign, looking to bring back Fantasy favourite, Sword & Sorcery, to the tabletop with a brand new system that handles all of the background jiggery pokery. See what you make of Teburu Dungeon: Sword & Sorcery...
Teburu Dungeon: Sword & Sorcery // Teburu
This new take on Sword & Sorcery retains the cooperative dungeon crawling mechanics of the original, designed to work for between one and five players. The original cast of Immortal Souls are diving into a brand new campaign, which has been tailored to suit the Teburu system that underpins the game.
With that in mind, I'm sure you'll be wondering about just what Teburu is.
Teburu System // Teburu
Tebur is a system that integrates apps with your board, dice and miniatures so you can dive into games quickly and easily. It has been designed so you can learn whilst playing and it even saves your progress so you can continue later.

Let's Play: Teburu Dungeon - Sword & Sorcery
As someone who has quite enjoyed the app integration that comes with games like Journeys in Middle-earth and Gloom/Frosthaven, the Teburu system does seem like a neat next step to take this to the next level. You're still moving your characters around and doing all the dice rolls, which I think is the important thing, and all of the other busy work then goes on behind the scenes.
Sword & Sorcery - Gameplay // Teburu
The same technology has already been implemented on a number of different games, including Vampire: The Masquerade - Milan Uprising and Palermo Conspiracies, plus two of The Bad Karmas games. You can find out more about those games over on the Teburu website.
Teburu Dungeon: Sword & Sorcery is live right now on Gamefound, so dive right in!

Wasn’t there an attempt by CMON to do this for Zombicide 2.0 at some point in the past ?
Not sure if it is the same system or something related …
The one advantage that boardgames have over computer games is that there’s no tech involved.
With things like this there’s the inevitable need for repair/replacements.
And who’s gonna do that in a few years ?
It could be useful, but I’m not yet sold on the viability of the system when there’s only one company doing this sort of thing. We need multiple companies sharing this tech (or make it open source) so cost goes down and continuity is ensured.
This looks like a fantastic game with incredible looking figures for gaming with
