Zenit Miniatures has teased a new Kickstarter campaign coming soon that should make fans of Games Workshop's classic Fantasy skirmish game, Mordheim, very happy indeed. A new set of 28mm miniatures is on the way as part of their Reapers of the Profane Kickstarter.

The new set of miniatures will represent two 28mm scale warband that could well be vying for control of the City of the Damned in games of Mordheim. On the one side, you will have the Reapers of the Profane, a warband of Witch Hunters. You can see some of them previewed here with their zealous captains leading the way alongside impetuous and eager youths!

The warband will feature all manner of classic staples that you'd expect from a warband of Witch Hunters, perfect for Mordheim. You'll have the likes of your fierce Warrior Priests (shown below), with hammers at the ready.

I really like the style of what we're seeing so far. It manages to convey that old-school feel of the Mordheim miniatures whilst presenting them in Zenit's unique style of sculpting. I like the extensive use of seals and writs across the different figures from the Reapers of the Profane, as well as the completely over-the-top candles, which you know have to be there.

We've yet to see miniatures for the Mercenaries known as the Guard of the Solara in this particular campaign but I will make sure to keep you up to date with how they look once we've got previews. I think they could end up being very similar to The Old Empire which was a previous campaign by Zenit Miniatures.

You can find out more about The Old Empire by diving back into some of our old articles about Zenit and their previous campaigns. Zenit clearly likes playing around in this particular Fantasy world, as they also did a Kickstarter for the Ursus Kingdom, which is a good match for Kislev in Warhammer Fantasy Battles.

Mordheim is still as popular as ever and whilst Games Workshop seems content to let it lie, there is an active and avid community of hobbyists keeping the game going.

With companies like Zenit filling in the gaps and producing options for wargamers to enjoy, there's plenty for you to sink your teeth into. I have always been a big fan of Witch Hunters so I could see myself getting my hands on the Reapers of the Profane when this campaign launches if nothing else.

Will you back this new campaign when it launches?
