Hit Board Game, Blood Rage, Returns With Valhalla
August 13, 2025 by brennon
Tycoon Games has teamed up with Eric Lang to bring a new standalone sequel to the hit board game, Blood Rage, to Gamefound soon. Valhalla carries on where the original Blood Rage left off as your Viking clans fight on beyond the events of Ragnarok.
Blood Rage: Valhalla // Tychoon Games
Building on the 2015 original, Blood Rage: Valhalla sees your clans fighting under the gaze of the gods as they go beyond their mortal limitations. You have now travelled to the realm of Asgard to witness endless, glorious combat where, each game, a different god will be watching over your conflict. You'll have to adapt to different boons, blessings and monsters which enter the fray during these unending battles.
New Figures // Blood Rage: Valhalla
Valhalla continues to feature gorgeous miniatures that suit the look and feel of the old figures by CMON. You will find new miniatures for the different clans as well as more for the armies of Hel and the Valkyries of Valhalla.

Each week during the preview, the team at Tycoon Games has been showcasing more of the miniatures that you're going to get when you dive into Blood Rage. We've seen some great new Clan miniatures as well as the stunning monsters like the Giant here. All of them are based on artwork by Adrian Smith, just like with the original games.

As well as offering a new entry point into Blood Rage with Valhalla and the original base game, you will also be able to get more of the board games from Eric Lang's trilogy, including Rising Sun and ANKH: Gods of Egypt. Watch out for the 19th August release of the Gamefound campaign next week!
Are you tempted to dive back into Norse mythology and pick up Blood Rage: Valhalla?

I looked into this when it was announced as I don’t own Blood Rage and would like to. It struck me as being very expensive. Probably a fair reflection of the significant increase in manufacturing costs for a game like this but certainly enough to put me off, especially adding in UK shipping.
The comments on GameFound are an entertaining read. It seems the current fanbase is not fond of the changes in art direction.
