1898 Miniaturas has now released more miniatures for their Visigoths range for use in your 6th to 8th Century wargames. You can now to get your hands on a notable character for the Visigoths, as well as a range of Heavy Cavalry.
King Roderic // 1898 Miniaturas
We start with King Roderic, who was the Visigoth king in Hispania between the years 710 and 711. Not a particularly long reign. He was known as "the last king of the Goths" and people don't particularly know much about him. Whilst he is known as "the last king of the Goths", he was not.

His rule began with usurpation and was rife with division. He was also known for his war with the Arabs and Berbers, who were raiding the Iberian Peninsula. This could be a good setting that you could use to build off when it comes to working out the miniatures for your army, fighting alongside King Roderic.
Visigoth Heavy Cavalry
As well as the brand new miniature for King Roderic that you can use to lead your force, there is also a mixture of Heavy Cavalry options.

This new set of miniatures will fit in very nicely with the rest of the 1898 Miniaturas range, giving you some dynamic and interesting cavalry miniatures to support your infantry, be they regular warriors or archers.
This set will feature a mixture of different Visigoths who come armed with a mixture of spears and swords. You will also find your banner bearers who you can follow into battle through the utter chaos bubbling up around them.
Visigoth Heavy Cavalry // 1898 Miniaturas
The Visigoths will come with horses in two flavours. You will be able to get them armoured, perhaps as the bodyguards for King Roderic, or unarmoured so that they fit in with the rest of your raiding party that you're bringing to the tabletop.
Visigoth Heavy Cavalry // 1898 Miniaturas
1898 Miniaturas has done a sterling job on the rest of the Visigoths range, available in metal. This range continues in that material, with both the riders and the horses being in metal.
Are you going to be assembling a new Visigoth army?
