90s X-Men Perfection! Getting Started In Marvel: Crisis Protocol #OTTWeekender
August 22, 2025 by crew
It's OTTWeekender time! It's a 90's cartoon nostalgia-fest as Atomic Mass Games bundle up new starter sets for the spectacular Marvel: Crisis Protocol. We check out the first two of these newly announced bundles as the classic X-Men are joined by the Brotherhood of Mutants for a set with some serious X-Factor, and it's a veritable rogues gallery on show in the Spider-Foes bundle.
Taking some inspiration from SW:Legion perhaps AMG have decided to make getting started with a fully themed force much easier now for Marvel: Crisis Protocol could these sets finally get you to take the plunge into some stunning comic book action on the tabletop?

Yay it’s weekender time folk’s 👍
The assassins creed game looking intresting
Being retired I sometimes don’t know what day of the week it is, but I always know when it’s Friday thanks guys! 🙂
We are glad to be of service
DOW 4 looks good ?
Good show guy’s 👍
Another game to buy in a few years when its in the steam sale. Theres no way im buying a game that no doubt charges an arm and a leg for the other factions. Graphics look better. But I also prefer my space marines old school. So I think the first 3 games are more my kind of thing.
yeah.
They pulled that same stunt with multiple of these GW games in the past. I bet they’d reduce the content to 2 factions if they could have, which given the price of todays’ games is insane.
As such I see no reason to buy this game unless it’s with all the factions/singleplayer content in a few years at a discount.
The spider foes set takes me back to the 90s cartoon of my childhood
Yep – I had the theme song playing in my head the entire time when writing the article
Sooo much good stuff this week MCP, Silver Bayonet, Trident Realms all we need is Ferrero Rocher and you’d be spoiling us OTT.
Is it “Dawn of Fwour ” or “Dawn of W4r”?
Dawn of Waaaagh!
I love Assassins creed and the mechanics look fun. I don’t see may group liking this game.
I am not getting my hopes or hype up for DOW4 yet, as to many times games are being a let down.
The hardware requirements for Dawn of War IV will probably make me cry.
Yep haha – I’ll get to play it in 10 years time when my PC catches up with the hardware
I love that the skeletal soldiers still have beards!
Yes! A very nice touch
