Happy Sunday! It’s actually quite hard to pinpoint a favourite miniature range, but thinking laterally like Gerry did, and using a bit of licence, I would say that my favourite miniatures are those that come/came in blister packs. Nothing beats rifling through racks on a shop wall to browse for miniatures. Clearly a nostalgia hit there from my yoof, but it’s still possible at events like Salute and it is joyous!! That feeling of clutching a precious find and taking it to the till – you can’t beat it!
Technically my choice is a range of miniatures by a particular sculptor.
True, but if I say Games Workshop then I will have my OTT membership revoked and a lifetime ban issued so I’ll stick with generic 90s blister packs 🤣
You could say “Citadel” which is nostalgia!
Or Ralpartha, which although not great against today’s offerings, was what grabbed my attention and drew me into the world of fantasy games
I love how shays initial realisation for his campaign maps was “this will take a long time to play” and not “maybe we should play at a slightly higher level of granularity”
our boy is growing up
Love the Gaslands stuff and it’s an absolute steal for the price. I also picked the big tower
I am blameless
Shay could do a parachute drop in to Paris as a way to Fubar the allies and drag troops from Germany.
So a potential Only Fans site of Ben in the Shower if funds get low…..lol
Happy Sunday, thanks very much for the Golden Button Gerry much apprciated.
Sonntag!

It should come as no surprise that I love the warp minis range. Been a bit of a fanboy since the first edition of troll bridge and I’ve backed them since. I love the alternative to grimdark,\ post oldworld which is far grimmer and darker than the 90s. of my youth. I enjoy that pratchett wistful comic fantasy style. Plus they have a great community. Saying that I appreciate the work of warcradel and war games Atlantic but I feel I’ve fallen into the warlord epic black powder ranges which unseen to happily enjoy working through like a factory machine at times. FOW are always a go to as are Bacchus so yes I’m drawn to smaller scale and more mass for my buck I guess 🤗
Happy Sunday.
I remember Overlord, it was a fun couple of games.
The Arcworlde minis are good, I have a handful of them myself. They paint up really nicely.
My favourite line of minis is probably the Otherworld Miniatures range (most of them are now with Crooked Dice). They are just nicely detailed fantasy miniatures with a slightly old school feel to them. I have quite a few of their selection.
Similarly I really like the Dunkeldorf Miniautes range, although I’ve yet to own any personally.
Poland ?
Check Twilight 2000 RPG for maps.
The starterset by Free League Publishing even included a hex-grid map for Poland.
FOR THE OVERLORD
For the Overlard! Minions when they where cool. XD
I hate to break this to you Shay, but long term campaigns with more than 3 persons never ever last more than a month. Life in general is your mortal enemy. It will cut your campaign short every time.
Weekend at a music festival right by City Kebabs? Did I go to City Kebabs? Did I go to City Kebabs more than once? You bet your sweet asses I did!
@avernos @shay You might want to check out the Firestorm Free Download Team Yankee Campaigns, maybe worth trying a shorter achieveable campaign structure and can always work on the life long WWIII afterward.

Warp miniatures (arcworld) are imo the best minis, they make me think of the disc world series and how fantasy would be in that world.
100% like overlord game, spent many hours in that game.
Not serious, totally fun minis. The gnomes are spectacular.
