Battle for Phrovox // Epic Warpath

If you're looking to get started with Epic Warpath, then you can't go too far wrong with the Battle for Phorvox. This two-player Starter Set features all of the rules, tokens and dice that you need for playing your games, plus two HUGE armies. The miniatures inside the set cover the factions of the Enforcers, mankind's most elite soldiers and the infected, horrifying alien Plague! Both are vying for control of Phrovox.

In total, you get over 190 miniatures for your Enforcer army as well as 250 plastic Plague miniatures! All of the miniatures are available in plastic and give you more than enough for an epic (hah) battle on the tabletop using Mantic's slick rules.

This features a range of stories from the Warpath universe and could be a good primer for someone seeking to dive into the game, learning more about the faction. If you'd like to level up from the skirmishes of Deadzone and Firefight, this is certainly going to offer that!

Core Army Packs

As well as the Starter Set for Epic Warpath, you can also buy some Core Army Packs for four of the factions. If you'd like to expand the options for the Enforcers or the Plague, then you can get a set for both.

Enforcers Core Army Pack // Epic Warpath

As mentioned above, the Enforcers are the elite of the Council of Seven and mankind. This set comes with seventy-two Operatives, twenty-four Heavy Weapon Operatives, forty-eight Assault Operatives, twelve Peacekeepers, twelve Jetbikes, eighteen Panther Tanks and twelve Command.

If you prefer the terrible and infected Plague, you can also scoop up their Core Army Pack.

Plague Core Army Box // Epic Warpath

The Plague is essentially a terrifying alien bio-weapon that spreads from colony to colony in an almost unstoppable tide. This set comes with ninety-six Ghouls, seventy-two Zombies, twelve Leapers, twelve Bursters, twelve Mules, six Striders, six Artillery and twelve Command.

Stepping away from the two core factions presented in the Starter Set, you could also throw your support behind the Forge Fathers, the Space Dwarves of the Warpath setting.

Forge Fathers Core Army Pack // Epic Warpath

The Forge Fathers are a superior, ancient civilisation that has now become a stubborn and unyielding galactic power. This set comes with a bunch of these bearded fellows, seventy-two Steel Warriors, twenty-four Rekkhyrs, twenty-four Stormrage Veterans, twenty-four Thorgarim, twelve Forge Guard, six Iron Ancestors, six Hultr Halftracks and eighteen Sturnhammer Tanks! You also then get your twelve Command.

Last but not least for the Core Army Packs, you can also get the Space Elves of the Warpath setting, the Asterians.

Asterian Core Army Pack // Epic Warpath

Much like the Forge Fathers, the Asterians were once a huge empire that dominated space. However, they are now a dwindling echo of their former selves and instead of taking to the battlefield themselves, many Asterians send waves and waves of automatons to the battlefield to fight in their place.

This set comes with sixty Marionettes, twelve Phlogisters, twenty-four Cyphers, twenty-four Cypher Wardens, twelve Sky Razors, six Wraiths, six Chroma/Chira tanks and twelve Command. Another solid set of miniatures for playing your big battles of Epic Warpath on the tabletop.

Finally, no Epic Warpath battlefield is complete without some 10mm scale terrain and you can now get your hands on loads of it from Mantic.

Building Packs // Epic Warpath

Each of the packs here is available separately but you can also buy them as a bundle. You get a bunch of suitable terrain for 10mm scale wargaming within, allowing you to build a neat urban warzone for your armies to fight through. A great core collection to choose from and I'm sure that even more will be popping up later down the line to match the different factions from Epic Warpath.
