Hit Rivers & Lakes With New Kromlech Terrain Sets
September 8, 2025 by brennon
Kromlech's Tabletop Scenics range already features some absolutely awesome pieces of 28mm to 32mm scale terrain for you to use when building up your tabletops for all manner of different genres of wargame. Well, they are adding to that soon with some great accessories for adding colour and narrative to your gaming tables!
Boats and Barges // Kromlech
This new collection of terrain has been designed for you to use when your adventurers want to head out onto lakes, rivers and maybe even the sea! This builds on their Fantasy Realms collection but it could easily be used for a variety of Historical wargames as well if you'd prefer. They would also be perfect for anyone playing roleplaying games and wanting to set up interesting and unique scenarios!
Boats and Dinghies // Kromlech
This is a very nice selection of simple but effective MDF kits that you could use to, as mentioned above, add some narrative to a game you're playing on the tabletop. Simply adding bits and pieces like this to your gaming table means that players are enticed into making interesting decisions when it comes to gameplay!
Skiffs and Sailboats // Kromlech
As an example, say you were playing a game of Guards of Traitor's Toll set down by the slow-moving river in the heart of the city. These boats and docks set up around the edge of the water might get you running across them to chase down a thief who has scarpered over a nearby bridge. Equally, if you're playing a roleplaying game, this might be where your players find a handy way to cross a lake, only to find that something in the water is seeking to drag them down into the murky depths!
Wooden Jetties // Kromlech
Each set comes with some nice bits and bobs which will help to build up an interesting tabletop, especially for a skirmish game. If you combined this with the current selection of terrain from Kromlech, you'd have some great-looking tabletops in no time at all.
Capping things off, Kromlech also showed off a neat terrain set that is a little different from what we've seen here amongst the river-based collection. You can also get the cruel and ramshackle Nomad Orc Wagons soon, which would be great for transporting your weapons, armour or maybe prisoners from your campaigns.
Nomad Orcs Wagons // Kromlech
This new Fantasy terrain is going to be coming very soon to the Kromlech Tabletop Scenics selection on their webstore. I think the boats, barges and skiffs are my favourites from the collection as they fit into different genres very easily and could be fun for telling different stories on the tabletop.
Drop your thoughts below on this new terrain from Kromlech!
