More Medbury Dwarves Hit The Patreon This September

Medbury Miniatures has revealed the figures that are going to be available to Patreon backers for the month of September. More Fantasy Dwarves are going to be marching to war to defend their mountain halls (or perhaps digging too deep!), available as 3D printable STL files for you to download and print at home.

Dwarf Warriors - Axe & Shield // Medbury Miniatures

This range of new Dwarf figures helps to expand their collection for the Sapphire Ridge. This collection was initiated by Medbury Miniatures in 2022, but it has since been redesigned and refined to function more cohesively as a faction. Plenty of the extra figures were added to the metal range in 2023 but this is the first time you're going to be able to get these figures as STL files for you to use for home printing.

Dwarf Warriors - Two Handed Axes // Medbury Miniatures

There are four different packs for you to choose from as part of this new September release on Patreon. You have Dwarf Warriors with hand weapons and shields, two-handed axes, spears and bows. This effectively gives you all of your basic armoured Dwarf warriors for warbands and armies; perhaps for a little bit of Middle-earth wargaming?

All of the miniatures are armoured in a similar style with a few different tweaks to elements like the helmets, shields and axes. You get enough to make them a coherent force whilst also being good for hobbyists and painters who want to paint something fun.

I really like the designs from Medbury Miniatures, as folks will most likely know from reading my different articles on their collection. I think there's a nice "generic" quality to their Fantasy range in particular, which allows them to work for something like Middle-earth but could easily be folded into all sorts of other Fantasy worlds at the same time.

This, alongside what is already available from Medbury Miniatures over on their webstore, should give you all of the rank and file that you need, plus plenty of elite options for customising your warband. It's hard not to be drawn in by these beardy fellows! I must stay strong!
