Recruit New World War II Soviet Scouts & Snipers From Eureka
October 1, 2025 by brennon
Eureka Miniatures recently added some new 28mm figures to their website for you to use in your World War II wargames. You can now get your hands on a new set of Scouts and Snipers for use in your Soviet armies.
Soviet Scout // Eureka Miniatures
These small units of scouts would infiltrate behind enemy lines, often in pretty inhospitable areas like forests, swamps and the rugged steppes of the Soviet Union. They would report on the strength of enemy numbers and note specific targets for the main army. That was the job of the Razvedchiki.
These scouts would also work with locals and partisans who would provide them with additional support as they undertook longer missions. This also led to more established lines of communication between those in Moscow and those out there on the front lines and others under the boot of the Axis forces.
Soviet Scout // Eureka Miniatures
The Razvedchiki were often armed with captured submachine guns and would wear the 'amoeba' camouflage suits. All of this should feed into an interesting painting challenge as you work on adding these Soviet Scouts into the mix as part of your World War II armies.
Soviet Scout with Radio // Eureka Miniatures
This set comes with seven miniatures. Six of them are armed with their submachine guns and another is a radio operator who is transmitting orders back to HQ so the main army knows where to move next when combating the Axis forces. You could also use these Scouts for another of their roles, capturing enemy "tongues", enemy soldiers who were snatched and then interrogated by Soviet Intelligence.
As well as the new Soviet Scouts, you can also get your hands on a great Soviet Sniper team, which can be used alongside these Scouts to put down the enemy before they scarper and alert their allies.
Soviet Sniper // Eureka Miniatures
This introduces some deadly, precise killers for the Red Army. There are three figures in the set covering a two-man Sniper team and then a Female Sniper in a summer uniform. These marksmen terrorised the enemy regardless of how downtrodden the Soviets ended up being over the course of World War II.
You can snap up these new miniatures right now and slide them into your painting queue to use alongside the rest of your Soviets in your World War II wargames.
Will you be getting these from Eureka Miniatures?
