Hussite Handgunners & More Join V&V’s Historical Collection

V&V Miniatures has introduced some great new 28mm resin figures to their range for those seeking to create a Hussite force for use in their Historical wargames. You can get your hands on some new Command figures as well as some Handgunners.
Hussite Commanders // V&V Miniatures
All of the miniatures here are cast in resin and should match up nicely to the rest of your collection that sits around the 28mm scale. In the case of these Command figures, you have a Standard Bearer, Priest, Sentry and the notable figure, Jan Žižka!
Jan Žižka is a Czech national hero and led the Hussites into battle throughout the course of three crusades and remained undefeated during his military career. He was well known for his unorthodox (for the time) tactics that included guerrilla tactics and the deployment of asymmetric warfare. He also used armoured wagons, wagon forts, which were fitted with small cannons and hand cannons, essentially creating the proto-tank! He had quite the military career, which you can read more about HERE.
You can also get a brand new set of Hussite Handgunners who will be helpful when you're taking potshots with early firearms.

These new miniatures for the Hussite range by V&V Miniatures are perfect for those looking to fight 15th-century battles on the tabletop. Due to the material that you're getting these miniatures in, you've got some insanely detailed figures to paint as well! I love how well the sculpts have captured all of the accessories that these Handgunners would be running around with on their belts.
If you prefer, you can also give these Handgunners shields to defend themselves during prolonged battles.

It takes a lot of skill and time to reload these early firearms, so you'll want something like these shields to hide behind whilst you're fussing with your weapon. I suppose that these shields also help if you mess up your reload and blow yourself up. At least your companions are spared.
Will you be snapping up some of these new Hussites from V&V Miniatures?

Boomsticks!
These are tempting as they are an interesting choice to take in Saga: AoC and give players a very different set of tactical options.
are they warriors in AoC? you need 8 of them?
I like the whole Hussite jam; there was a movie on Netflix maybe? that covered the Jan story pretty well, and showed off their Gen Medieval Tank invention.
Edit: VV. need to make the war wagons!!!
1st corps war wagons are pretty good. (fireforge also has a cheap solution with mdf wagons).
Those do look awesome!
