Check Out Four New Warhammer Age Of Sigmar Battleforces
October 7, 2025 by brennon
Games Workshop has been previewing some of the new Battleforce Boxes that will be available in the next few months as we head up towards Christmas. We start with some options for Warhammer Age of Sigmar, covering each of the Grand Alliances.
Skryre Warpswarm // Warhammer Age of Sigmar
Leading the way is the Skryre Warpswarm, which will be marching to war in the wake of the Vermindoom. This calvacade of chaos is led by an Arch-Warlock who is flanked by twenty Stormvermin that watch over their leader (and wait for the perfect moment to stab them in the back). You also have a Ratling Warpblaster, three Warplock Jezzails, five Acolyte Globadiers and a Warpspark Weapon Battery, which can feature Warpvolt Scourgers, Ratling Guns, or Warpfire Throwers.
If you'd prefer to pledge yourself to the Grand Alliance of Death, you also have the Lances of the Crimson Keep.
Lances of the Crimson Keep // Warhammer Age of Sigmar
Prince Vhordrai once tried to overthrow Nagash himself but he has now been shackled to the supernatural Crimson Keep that appears throughout the Mortal Realms. He rides out now atop the back of the Revenant Draconith Shordemaire, leading a flood of Blood Knights, ten of which are here. These blood-soaked knights are backed up by a set of three Fell Bats who continue the vampire theme throughout the Battleforce.
Pledging yourself to Destruction, you can also pick up the Dankhold Rampage.

If you like your Gloomspite Gitz without the pesky Git contingent, how about a massive box full of Troggoths? Leading the way for this set is Trugg, the Troggoth King, alongside a nearly as fearsome Dankhold Troggboss. These towering killers are backed up by six Rockgut Troggoths and then three Fellwater Troggoths, which complete the horde.
This is a very characterful set of miniatures and a fun project for someone wanting to create a thematic army for Warhammer Age of Sigmar. All of these figures are certainly going to be something of a painting project!
Last but not least, we have the army of Order with the Outcast Spitegrove.

This set gives you an idea of the Sylvaneth in all of their spiteful glory. There is no quarter given to those who would dare step into the realm of Drycha Hamadreth, who leads this Battleforce. If you go down to the woods today, you'll also meet a towering Spirit of Durthu who has been summoned by Drycha to crush her enemies and sweep them aside with that sword.
The set also features fifteen Spite-Revenants and twenty Dryads, showcasing the woods themselves coming to life. The Spirit of Durthu can also be built as a Treelord or Treelord Ancient and the Spite-Revenants can also be built as Tree-Revenants. I'd stick with the spiteful vibe and run with the set as pictured for a thematic army.
Are you going to be picking up these new Battleforces?

Are those the old river trolls? If they are they are TINY these days.
They do look like the old River Trolls, and puny indeed.
