Grimskald are back on Kickstarter right now with a great expansion to their Fantasy game of skirmishes set within the bowels of an ancient Dwarven hold. You can now bring new adventures and adventurers to the tabletop with Vaults of Zarn.

Torch & Shield: Vaults of Zarn // Grimskald Games

For those unaware of Torch & Shield, during the game each player will command a warband of unique warriors who will be tasked with heading down into the depths of a Dwarven hold (or beyond!), where you have to face down hazards, traps, monsters and the other crews. You have to outthink and outfight your opponents and get out with the treasure so that you can gain the renown that you deserve.

Learn to Play: Torch & Shield

The focal point of Torch & Shield is crunchy, tight, tactical skirmishes that also bring to life the narrative of your delves. The game is driven by random events and monsters that can appear from nowhere. The game also has a light and darkness mechanic, which means that you'll always have to keep on your foes. Should the light fail, monsters will crawl out and drag you off into the darkness.

Vault of Zarn Expansion

The new campaign supplement, Vault of Zarn, introduces new narrative beats and expanded rules for delving deeper into Torch & Shield.

Leading the way is the adventure where you'll be discovering where the Zarn Dwarves have concealed their treasures. You will be able to dive into a grand campaign where you unlock new scenarios throughout the course of your adventures, trading post events and lots of alternative victory conditions.

There are over twenty new scenarios included in the Vaults of Zarn campaign where you can play competitively, cooperatively and solo against the monsters that dwell down in the depths. You will also find new rules for monsters, search tables, legendary treasures and more.

Kraghelm Clan // Torch & Shield

The book will also contain rules for four new playable crews, which are all frowned upon by the traditional clans that were introduced as part of the initial release of Torch & Shield. You can now play as the Kraghelm Clan Dwarves, Ostari Treasure Hunters, Elves of the Abyssal Wood and the Outcasts.

If you're someone who is seeking to delve deep into Torch & Shield, then you'll be able to get involved with this campaign, either picking up digital, printable options OR physical miniatures, accessories and books if you'd prefer.
