Happy Sunday Backstagers, CoGs and OTTers!
My God. Being on XLBS has aged Shay something shocking
like a fine wine you mean!
Of course
I think the “There’s somebody at the door’ is from memory first mentioned in the Gilgamesh epic, but historians argue that it’s from a botched translation and the original is in the Iliad and relates to when the Trojans first see the Greeks approaching and trying to gain entry to Troy to negotiate for the return of Helen
There was also the return of Dogtanian https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL_QGcqw1GW_UtpiKCc9knC7H2HK2P93op&si=asjogqPfC14Dhgbt
Firstly, FABULOUS to see Warren back on the show. I’ve missed his hobby hacks and business insights. I think in this day and age anything he learns to hobby through physical challenges will be soooo beneficial for a lot of people. It could really help inclusivity in the hobby and make our hobby a benchmark for all hobbies. If Warren is open to coming back on I would also be interested to hear his contemporary view of the industry, post covid, where its heading, are we still trending towards a 3D printing takeover or is the physical making a comeback? How companies are faring etc etc.
Secondly. Muskahounds! I’ve never been particularly interested in the anthropomorphic models or games, but give me a Muskahounds game and I’ll be all in!!
Happy Sunday. And it is wonderful to see Warren again.
Happy Sunday lads. Interesting discussion as usual! Great to see Warren again, and I may have to check out that airbrush. Given my limited hobby time, the clean out of the airbrush is a bit of a barrier these days, and you’ve hit the nail on the head, I rarely use it for detail work!
My eldest is 7 in 6 weeks. Like myself he’s ADHD but he has shown a lot of interest in the hobby. I’ve been debating what will be the best way to introduce him that’s small in numbers but attention grabbing for his young mind and I like the look of Zoontalis, great pick for indie of the week.
Welcome back Warren. I’ve missed your interjections and tangents
I honestly think a 10mm skirmish game, with a force on a single sprue would work. It worked as a concept I did for Dungeonarlia, I may have to bite the built and design the game myself
Happy sunday… great show, Zoontalis is a fab game lots of fun. I must get back to painting up my figures for that.
Welcome back Warren! I needed to test the limits of my new headphones 🤣 the single goblin and dwarf miniature game challenge has me thinking about sculpting a dwarf. Not the intended result im sure.
HAPPY SUNDAY, Warrens back where he belongs….great to see and hear ya mate.

Hurrah, Sundays here, great episode, good beards across the board 🙂
Happy Sunday
Lovely to see Warren back on the show.
Welcome back Warren, glad to have you joining us here. Great topic as well. I loked the idea of the goblin and dwarf sprue. Could you do something like Pass the Pigs where you score points based on the orientation of the models as they land on the table after a throw. It would play well in the pub.
Good to see you Warren. How about a 2 figure sprue game like Spy vs Spy but set in a dungeon. Am I showing my age?
Make a riff on Spy vs Spy where the Dwarf and Goblin have traps they can set for one another while trying to loot the same dungeon or have differing objectives. I’m going to have to play around with this idea some more.
Great to see Warren back!
Good to see you back @warzan
