Add Offensive’s Soviet Specialists To Your World War II Collection
November 4, 2025 by brennon
Offensive Miniatures has recently introduced some more World War II sets to their 28mm collection for those seeking some specialists to bolster Soviet armies. Take sniper shots from afar and hunt down tanks with these new teams.
Russian Sniper & Spotter // Offensive Miniatures
First up, we have a classic of the Russians in World War II with a Sniper Team. This set comes with a sniper, settling down on a rise or perhaps the ruins of a blasted building in Stalingrad. He is just about to take that long-awaited shot at the German officer across the square. He is backed up by a spotter who is keeping an eye out for trouble.
The second set is focused on taking our armoured targets. You can also get a set of Tank Hunters.
Russian Tank Hunter Team with A/T Rifles // Offensive Miniatures
This set features four two-man teams in a variety of poses. Some of them are firing whilst others are deploying and there's even a team running into position. They come armed with PTRD 41 Anti-Tank Rifles, aiming to punch holes in unsuspecting armour as it rumbles through their territory.
I really like the mixture of poses, which will be great for collectors who don't want too many repeat sculpts amongst their army.
If you'd like to turn the tables on the Germans in World War II then you can also get some Russian Infantry carrying Stolen German Weapons!
Russian Infantry with German Weapons // Offensive Miniatures
This set comes with eight miniatures carrying a mixture of German weapons that have been liberated from attacks against the enemy. There are Panzerfausts, Panzerschreck, MG42s and more here for you to choose from. A solid set of figures for creating unique teams during the fighting within Stalingrad, for example.
Last but not least, you can also get another Russian support weapon in the form of the 120mm Heavy Mortar.
Russian 120mm Heavy Mortar Team // Offensive Miniatures
The Russians would make use of a lot of mortars to soften up the enemy, blasting fortifications and driving the enemy diving for cover. This set represents a team from the Mid to Late War period if you're eager to be accurate.
All of these Soviets have been added into the mix fairly recently, so if you're looking for some alternative figures to sit alongside your plastics by Warlord Games, these might be worth snapping up.
Could you be tempted by these new sets?
