yeah that’s my main problem with all that movie stuff. In the book years, decades go by. But you can’t translate that to a movie. People will be falling asleep XD

Scouring of the Shire? Not sure if I know what that is. Must look that up some time.

I want to see the Scouring of the Shire on screen. I read the books when I was 16 and well acquainted with the movies. Was totally caught of guard when I hit that part and I loved it.

I’m not sure if it is farmer Maggot in the books who talks to the Ring Wraiths, but then I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s a change to the script for the movie.

Maggot is definitely the one that’s chasing the hobbitses in the early part. They stole his fruits after all, so can’t blame him.

In the before time when libraries were still a thing … that’s where I’ve discovered Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.

I think I read LoTR and the Hobbit both in Dutch and English. Not sure in which order.
