Good and also morning.
It’s Thursday but also almost Friday because reasons.
I have many reasons not to buy a 3D printer, the biggest being that I have absolutely no room for it.
Same.
I’m still enjoying the great lamentation on the book of faces in the Star Wars: Legion groups. Like little children who have been send to their room. “I’ll run…[Read more]

Item a) Politics is puppet theater for adults. If you believe that the guys and gals in suits wearing red, blue or any other color ties you get to see on TV are the ones actually making the decisions, you’ve got a LOT of waking up to do.
Item b) On the bright side, the current press secretary for what a VERY long time ago was the White House is…[Read more]

I have many reasons not to buy a 3D printer, the biggest being that I have absolutely no room for it.
Most 3D printed figures are quite frightfully fragile, so much so that I have actually broken several just while cleaning and painting them – no, I am not clumsy – and am afraid to use them in games or even move them from the shelf.
However,…[Read more]

I’d say that’s your ‘problem’ indeed.
If you’re only ever using one brand / material then you may not notice the difference in quality and potential for improvement as much.
And maybe you’re looking at them from too close a distance as well?
A lot of detail that makes sense up close becomes slightly less relevant at a distance once painted &…[Read more] -

It may be a missed opportunity from a marketing/publishing point of view, but as a consumer/player ?
Do you really need new materials or rules to run an Andor game ?
I’d imagine picking an intrigue focused rpg (Night’s Black Agents ?) and re-theming it with Starwars characters is all you’d have to do.
Or simply use any of the…[Read more] -

Didn’t some Chinese suppliers post the actual cost of those “expensive” clothing brands somewhere ?
Margins on those were insane …I’m guessing the dress she had is one of those and proof that big ticket clothing is a bigger scam than (all of us males) imagined it to be 😉
(I’d also argue that she’s got to have the morals and ethics of a…[Read more]

I’m still mourning the loss of Imperial Assault. Also it’s crazy that with all the various Star Wars TV properties ongoing at the moment, the RPG series has just been left, no new books, no new reprints. Edge Studios took it on but as far as I can see have done nothing with it (including reprints) in fact they’ve not mentioned it on their socials…[Read more]

Had some etsy resins delivered today for my Arabian Nights RPG and they are nicely detailed…
However… this is the first time I had any 3D resins delivered with all the supports still attached and although that meant the minis were in perfect condition when I received them… it was a scary few minutes as I tried to clean them up.
Nothing…[Read more]

Yes Warlord plastics are all over the place size wise . It’s funny some of the older sets have better faces than the new ones IMO . I think I’ve had all the WW2 sprues at some time or another except for the US sets . A few pieces just go right into the trash with the rest sorted to the parts box . I really like the design of the early sets ( ex…[Read more]

Andor is more a spy themed series.
Not sure if that’s going to be big enough to motivate people into buying Legion, but then we don’t know what season 2 will bring.I just hope it doesn’t go down hill like the Mandalorian did (I really wished they had kept it more grounded).
I’m rewatching Rebels. It is a cool series and it has Mandolore in it…[Read more]

Could it be that they’re just plain ol’ Germans @a27cromwell when compared to the other German infantry you’ve done?
Or maybe the expectation that there’d be more things to add to them has demotivated you a bit ?
It would be nice to see a comparison of the various plastic variants of a given troop type.
Victrix did a comparison with Warlord and…[Read more] -

I am firmly not a fan of Warlord. I’ve always felt that way; the faces, the weird proportions, I don’t like them. So yeah, I feel what you’re feeling.
Perry, and maybe now the new Victrix, are the gold standard in WW2 plastics. Gold.
Metals are a whole other story, but again, I’m a Perry fan. Empress too.
