Speaking from the perspective of someone just an hour from the Rockies, the climate here on the Canadian prairies is sort of like this:
Winters: generally around 0c, +/- 5 degrees. We will have a couple of weeks of real cold, rarely hitting below -20c. And when they do happen, a wonderful phenomenon called a Chinook will come off the mountains…[Read more]

The biggest differences between Europe and North America in regards to climate are that the sea makes much more ingress into the European landmass than it does into the North American, which leads to more of a balance between the seasons in the Old World than the new and that most major mountain ranges run east to west in Europe, thus blocking…[Read more]

If we assume that Elf females find the same things attractive as Human females, that would be height (!), looks (!), youth, money and social status. And yes, I base these observations on TONS of experience over MANY years. I suppose that the Dwarf in question might qualify as ‘young’ – especially to an Elf, who is functionally immortal and…[Read more]

@warcolors yes, that’s right. It is more complex than that. But New York, whilst having cold winters also has hot summers. Geography and meteorology combine to create the local climate, but you still tend to find broad similarities between temperature ranges within latitude bands. This means that the northern most parts of Ulthuan would not…[Read more]

the climate has as much to do with geology as it does meteorology
I think you meant to say geography, rather than geology; but unfortunately, it is a bit more complicated than this. Naples and New York are more or less placed at the same latitude, yet they have very different climates: in New York, it snows quite frequently and winters are cold,…[Read more]

I always joke that when I buy a new harddisk for my pc it will be filled by the time I get it.
Looks like it applies to physical storage as well.ie: I think I’m running out of space for my toys in my new house … and it’s bigger than my appartment was. 😀
Then again … having everything in big boxes and not in the few storage spaces I do have…[Read more]

Last year, at this time, I was just hoping to get motivated to clear some of my backlog but not feeling inspired for any of it. Then I received Marvel Crisis Protocol for my birthday and have painted little else since. That being the case, I am not making any hard pledges as I have no idea what may light that fire and make me feel like a l…[Read more]

@warcolours the climate has as much to do with geology as it does meteorology. The closer something is to the equator generally the warmer the climate. The higher the attitude, the colder temperatures might be. We can see that these rules mostly hold true but Ulthuan is very much an anomaly that cannot effectively be explained by met…[Read more]

Things are being released in waves. Greatswords, along with Flagellants, Huntsmen/Archs, Helstorm/Helfire artillery and most likely the State Militia and Steamtanks, are coming but at some point next year.
