@danlee cool models. Large projects completed always get the steam going to keep onto the next cool thing. Good luck with your next models.
@limburger Flying Circus action and high fidelity graphics are very good. I agree with the sentiment of beyond sight engagement. It just doesn’t feel like engaging in combat.
Now, the worst case scenario for…[Read more]

The Spires beast feels like some of the practical effects from “In the Mouth of Madness” and “The Thing” with a touch of the aliens from “Independence Day”. Creepy but still not full bore body horror. Neat stuff

Man, I could swear I’ve seen this kickstarter before, but checking it, it seems like they double-tapped each WW2 army they ever produced. Maybe Join or Die is their “28mm only” range where March to Hell scales […]

I usually like the Spires minis, but various anatomical choices on the large beast kit go beyond the suspension of disbelief for me. The Merchant, though, is fantastic. Very otherworldly, especially with the pet.

It’s always the question “what will run out first? Money, space or sanity”

My pile grew today. I’m almost out of room on my shelves, in the ikea book storage area, out of space period. I need to stop buying and get painting, and then I’ll need foam storage … it never ever ends …

They are brilliant (as usual with the Perrys’). I’ll be purchasing a few of these for my skirmish games.

yep … there was a rationale. At least I think so 😉
I’ve got two weeks of holiday starting on saturday, so in theory I should get a lot done if I mimimize distractions and simply get going on day one.
And as you said. Even if I can get a basic stacking done then I will have achieved some measure of order in the chaos.
I’m probaby trying to get…[Read more] -

@limburger I’m presuming there was some rationale when you bought everything. Or was it all squirrel chasing then too 😀 If you have armies or games that you were buying for then that could provide your structure. Even if you just divided stuff into a couple of basic categories, say board games and miniatures games then you’ve got started an…[Read more]

there’s no reason for anything to be on a grid pattern as far as terrain is concerned IMHO.
It’s not Halo / Deadzone …// —
I think the real issue is that the various combinations of these range tools create some hard to replicate/visualise distances.
As much as I hate to use inches at least that it is something I can measure reliably.

Loving the artwork. That priest with a tonsure in civilian clothing with a rifle. Excellent.

I think the idea is to make the cards as basic and graphic as possible, to make it easy to see which objectives are active. It can make setup a pain though, I definitely understand the problem you’re trying to solve. I feel bad for all the battlemat makers who tried to put out mats with the objective positions printed on them, only to have AMG…[Read more]
