This Quar's War from Joshua Qualtieri expands with a new Hardcover Rulebook available from Wargames Atlantic! Quar: Clash Of Rhyfles builds on what was available within A Rhyfler’s Pocket-Book and introduces more rules for you to use when enjoying your skirmishes on the tabletop.

Inside this new 144-page hardcover rulebook, you'll find expanded rules from A Rhyfler’s Pocket-Book that was included as part of the first Starter Set for the game. This clarifies and expands on key concepts, making the rules easier for new players to engage with. You will also find new special abilities for your rhyflers and additional equipment traits for their weapons.

As with your previous engagements, you'll take on the role of a Patrol of Rhyflers from a chosen faction within the background. You'll get access to a lot of the regular troops and specialists that you'll already be familiar with but also additional, new unit types that you might not have played with before, based on the original starter set.

For example, Cavalry will be back in the mix with the addition of Cadiers and Autopeds. If you'd prefer something more armoured, you could also clamber into the back of a Tractor and trundle across the battlefield from the relative safety of your rumbling vehicle. This will turn you into a bit of a target, though!

Talking of targets, that's where the addition of new Heavy Weapons Teams comes in! With the proliferation of Tractors and other vehicles on the field, you'll need these heavy weapons to even the odds, especially with these tight, deadly skirmishes.

As well as those additions for the various factions, you'll also find loads of additional information on the setting for This Quar's War and the factions that live within the world of Alwyd (see above). Explore the Crusaders, Toulmore, Western Arnyarans and the Coftyr, Fidwog, Gwynt and Creevin.

Finally, the new Hardback Rulebook also comes with a selection of missions for you to dive into. There are ten in total, starting with the classic Meeting Engagement before turning to new challenges like a Trench Raid and Armoured Assault. This also comes alongside specific special rules for missions and special events, so your games will be different each time you sit down to play.
